It’s understood that Chelsea will pay in the region of £42million for the starlet with the winger penning a deal until 2033. Man United were also keen and were thought to be closing in on a similar deal, with the player having worked under manager Ruben Amorim before his move to Old Trafford. However, the Blues have pipped them to the deal. Quenda has already completed a medical with Chelsea but will now stay with Sporting where he’ll be a key player for the first team. The winger has already made 43 appearances for the Portuguese side, including 10 in the Champions League. A left-footed player, Quenda can play on either flank and drop into central areas, using his pace to cause problems for defenders. In Enzo Maresca’s current system, Quenda would be seen as a long-term prospect on the wing where he’d compete with Jadon Sancho, Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku.
