It sucks that this is the place we’ve found ourselves in the world but, here we are. A couple weeks ago, when the dumbfuck ICE raids in Los Angeles caused a bunch of dumbfuck problems, God’s Hate frontman and AEW wrestler Brody King walked out to the ring at the Grand Slam Mexico match wearing an “Abolish ICE” shirt. Shortly after, King teamed up with designer Travis Thornton and the printing company Edgemen to create a limited edition shirt like the one he had one. His goal was to donate all proceeds made to the Local Hearts Foundation, a nonprofit that helps low-income and at risk communities.
This past Thursday, July 3, King posted a screenshot of his donation receipt showing how much he was able to raise with the shirts and golly, he made a lot. King’s campaign raised $27,748 for the cause and I’m sure he’ll find ways to raise even more.
