Another preview of the next chapter of music.

The Red Clay Strays are on a roll of previewing new music on the road this summer, which has me hopeful as a fan that we will be blessed with new music sooner rather than later.

Last year, the Mobile, Alabama-based group released their critically acclaimed sophomore record Made By These Moments. The 11-song project, produced by Dave Cobb, explores the complicated chaos of everyday life, including facing conflict, death, emotions, and chasing one’s aspirations. Made By These Moments instantly captivated fans, and the way each song resonated with fans showed the power of music. Whether listeners were being saved with “Wanna Be Loved,” felt seen with “No One Else Like Me,” or were reminded by the band’s strong roots in faith that God loves them with “God Does.”

There is a song for everyone on Made By These Moments.

Since the release of their sophomore record, the group dropped a single with NEEDTOBREATHE for a stellar collaboration titled “Momma Loves Me.”

But on the road, the Mobile, Alabama-founded group has been letting it rip with unreleased singles. In July in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the crowd got a treat with a new one titled “Walking Away,” and they kept it going, debuting another new one last month, in Cleveland, Ohio, the Red Clay Strays titled “What Are You Going To Do Today.”

The hot streak of new songs continues as the band plays a new one during their show at the St. Louis Music Park called “Revival.” And no, it’s not a cover of Zach Bryan’s famed tune “Revival.”

Like many other Red Clay Strays songs, this tune has a deep root in faith, calling listeners to turn to the Lord. Frontman Brandon Coleman shares a powerful message through the words he sings, as he shares that trusting in the creator will protect you from your enemies, bend your broken spirit, and good things will come to you if you have faith.

“If you’ve been searching
Trying to find a way out
All your fear and all your doubt
There’s an answer,
And there’s a better way
You’ll see what happens
When you have some faith”

During the chorus, he calls the broken to the water to “spark revival,” which is a compelling message, especially after the events of this past week, remembering 9/11, mourning the death of Charlie Kirk, and praying for the students of Evergreen High School.

The Red Clay Strays are previewing stellar tunes on the road, and I hope that means a larger project is in the works. I need “Revival,” “Walking Away,” and “What Are You Going To Do Today” ASAP.

These boys do not miss. Check it out:
