Riley Green’s Grandma Once Bought A Giant Bra To Throw Onstage, But His Ex-Girlfriend Found It In His House

Grandma Jean got Riley in some trouble.

It’s no secret that the ladies are very fond of Riley Green, who is absolutely no stranger to having bras thrown at him and I don’t know how some of you afford that, but I digress… during a recent interview with Katie Neal for Audacy’s Katie & Company, Riley was asked what he does with all of the undergarments that get thrown at him, he had a hilarious answer.

Apparently, his road crew has a big bin full of bras to eventually be donated, and Riley pointed out that he had no idea how expensive they were so that seemed like right right thing to do. I mean, I guess it’s better than throwing them away because they certainly are not cheap:

“We were putting them in a big bin, and we were gonna donate them to wherever you donate bras to, I guess. Because what I learned, there was there was like people commenting saying that they were really expensive. I didn’t know that.”

He then proceeded to tell a story about a time at a show in Huntsville, Alabama many years ago that his grandma Lola Jean (adorable name, by the way) was at, and inevitably, some girl threw a bra at Riley. He picked it up and joked that his grandma was the one who threw it, and she wasn’t gonna just let it slide… Mrs. Lola bought a massive bra she planned to throw onstage as a joke.

Well, somehow it got left in Riley’s pantry, and his girlfriend at the time found it in there and he told her it was his grandma’s. It still had the tag on it and everything, though obviously, his ex wasn’t buying it and I can only imagine if she saw this story now what might be going through her head knowing Riley was telling the truth. I can’t say I blame her for not believing that, but sometimes the truth really is stranger than fiction…

“I will tell you a funny story, I played in Huntsville one time at a smaller venue, this was years ago, and my grandmother Lola Jean was at the show in the balcony. Somebody threw a bra onstage, and I picked it up, ‘I was like grandmother, what are you?’ Joking that it was her bra. And then fast-forward two years, I guess I had a girlfriend at time, and she was at my house and looking through the pantry.

There was a bra, still had the tag on it, and each whatever you wanna call… each receptacle, was this big. And she was like, ‘What is this?’ And my grandmother had bought a giant bra to take one of my shows to throw onstage as a joke. But she put it in my house, so I had to explain this girl that this giant person bra wasn’t mine, it’s my grandmothers. She was like, ‘Yeah, right.’ I think about that a lot when bras get thrown onstage.”

Grandma Lola’s got jokes, and she sounds hilarious… though I’m not sure this was great for Riley’s relationship at the time.
