Luke Combs’ New Song, “My Kinda Saturday Night,” Is Coming SOON

I can’t wait to hear the studio cut of this one…

Luke Combs has been teasing the prospect of new music for a while now, and one song in particular has stood out among fans as one they’re dying to hear first, a banger called “My Kinda Saturday Night.”

In typical Combs fashion, it’s an upbeat, boot-stomping, beer drinking song that finds him looking towards the weekend and ready to indulge in a few beverages while he let’s loose with friends:

“Dang, I ain’t ever putting WD-40 on this front porch chain
I can’t but I can almost hear that paycheck dropping in the bank
I don’t know what’s gonna happen tonight
But there’s a good chance it’s gonna sound like
Boots on the back porch, stomping on the 2×4’s
Little bit of long neck playing”

And if you’ve been waiting for him to release the studio cut of “My Kinda Saturday Night,” it sounds like he’s going to drop it next week, as he shared a story from one of his fan accounts on Instagram with the caption:

“Luckily this will be the last Saturday night we won’t have ‘My Kinda Saturday Night.'”

Considering most artists release new music on Friday’s, I’d be willing to bet we’ll be hearing the full thing by the end of this coming work week:

Combs released his concept album Fathers & Sons last summer, which was far from a commercial success like his other studio albums, but it was something he wanted to do for his sons and was a really beautiful project.

With the promise of new music on the horizon, I don’t think it will be much longer until we get some sort of official album announcement, and potentially even tour announcement considering Combs mostly did festival dates this year and intentionally took some time off from the road.

A while back, Combs tweeted that he thinks the forthcoming album will be “the best [he’s] ever made,” and I can’t wait to hear it:

“I’ve been spending the last couple of weeks working on what my next record looks like and as it begins to take shape I can honestly say I’ve never felt better about one at this stage. It’s early on but I really do think it could wind up being the best record I’ve ever made.”
