Foreigner Wants to be Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Band

This is perfect. I don’t think it’s something anyone expected to happen but here we are, in the best way possible. Whether we want to know anything about them or not, the relationship between pop star Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been force fed down our throats since it started. Why are we choosing to talk about them now? Well, it’s not them we’re really talking about, it’s arena rock legends Foreigner. They offered to be Swift and Kelce’s wedding band if/when they get married, and it’s exactly for the corny but kinda cute reason you’d think.

Foreigner released a statement on their Instagram getting straight to the point. With a caption that read “An open letter to @taylorswift and @killatrav…,” the band wrote:

“Dear Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce,

“We know what love is. We spent 40 years figuring it out … And now you guys have too. Please accept this as our formal offer to be your wedding band.

“Best wishes,

“Foreigner”

I’m not sure who in the band is a Swiftie or football fan, or if they really just know how to do promo, but this is the great idea I didn’t even know needed to be an idea. One thing we, Swift, and Kelce may not know until it actually happens is which Foreigner members will actually be part of the wedding band.

As you may know, Foreigner have been doing a string of shows this year, not without their own bit of drama. Longtime singer Kelly Hansen stepped down so singer Luis Maldonado could step up as his replacement, with the two of them sharing the stage so far this year to make the transition. Coming up this December, original singer Lou Gramm will join the band for some select dates.
