Chelsea receive transfer windfall as Nottingham Forest announce signing of Ipswich star who refused to play in Carabao Cup
Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town. Forest have spent around £37.5million to sign the England Under-21 star, who recently refused to play in the Carabao Cup for the Tractor Boys as he waited for the transfer to go through. The Blues sold the former Arsenal academy starlet to Ipswich for an initial £20m plus £2.5m in add-ons in June 2024. The 21-year-old first moved to Portman Road on loan for the 2023/24 season, where he helped Ipswich achieve top flight promotion for the first time in 22 years, which led to a permanent transfer.
