It’s been hard to feel sorry for New England Patriots fans when the team was struggling the past few years. From 2000 to 2019, the team won 6 Super Bowls in 9 appearances in the big game, and never finished with a losing season after Tom Brady became their starting quarterback in 2001.
When Brady left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, Patriots fans finally got to experience what it feels like for most football fans when their team isn’t just completely dominating every year. The first year without Brady, the Patriots went 7-9, their first losing record since 2000. And over the past 5 years, they’ve only made the playoffs once, losing to the Buffalo Bills in the wild card round in 2021.
So yeah, it’s hard to feel bad for Patriots fans who had to experience a whole 5 years of non-playoff winning football. But unfortunately for the rest of the league, it appears head coach Mike Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye have turned things around in New England and gotten the Patriots back to their winning ways.
The team is 12-3 and leads the AFC East with two games left in the regular season, and Patriots fans have finally seemed to find their new hero in Drake Maye.
The second year quarterback out of the University of North Carolina was drafted 3rd overall by the Patriots in 2024, and while he had a mediocre first season as the starting quarterback in New England, he’s become a star in his second season and has Patriots fans dreaming about yet another dynasty run.
But it’s not just the quarterback who has won over Patriots fans: They’re also in love with his wife, Ann Michael Maye.
Drake and Ann Michael have been dating since middle school and finally tied the knot earlier this year. And the First Lady of New England has quickly become a star herself, thanks to her wholesome baking videos on TikTok and her recent “Bakemas” series, where she baked a new treat every day leading up to Christmas.

Patriots fans were all in on Bakemas, blowing up her videos and leaving plenty of comments about her husband. But as they’ve fallen in love with Ann Michael, it seems that they’ve quickly moved on from the former First Lady of New England, Gisele Bündchen.
Gisele was married to Tom Brady from 2006 to 2022, when the couple announced their divorce after reports that she had cheated on the NFL legend with her jiu jitsu instructor (who she later married and just welcomed her first child with).
And now, Gisele is catching all kinds of strays from Patriots fans in the comments of Ann Michael’s videos:

Honestly, it’s been the most wholesome thing we’ve seen on the internet in a long time. Usually comment sections (especially for women) are total war zones, but it seems like Patriots fans – and the entire internet – have fallen in love with Ann Michael Maye and were all in on Bakemas.
