Arsenal got back to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, to put some comfort between themselves and the chasing pack for a Champions League place next season.
Heading into the weekend, there was some concern that if Arsenal lost to Chelsea and other results went against them, suddenly Arsenal would be in a top-four battle.
But Manchester City drawing with Brighton and Arsenal taking the three points from Chelsea meant the Gunners built on their buffer.
It was a solid defensive performance but Arsenal again struggled to create too much. Mikel Merino scoring the only goal of the game from a corner. It’s about time the Gunners scored from a set piece!

Men of the match: Mikel Merino. The defensive unit was great today, but I think Merino needs the credit for scoring the goal. We’ve really struggled to do that in the league and he made the difference and got the points for us today.
