This yr, 9 out of 16  nominees are at the list for the first time: Soundgarden, Dave Matthews Band, The Doobie Brothers, Motörhead, The Notorious B.I.G., Pat Benatar, T.Rex, Whitney Houston and Thin Lizzy.
