“I’m A Little Crazy” song takes on an entirely deeper meaning.

Morgan Wallen performed in Edmonton, Canada last night as part of the last weekend of his I’m The Problem stadium tour. And he took time to honor Conservative activist and media personality, Charlie Kirk. Charlie was shot and killed earlier this week while hosting an event at Utah Valley University courtyard as part of The American Comeback Tour, which was hosted by the TPUSA chapter at Utah Valley.

During the event, Kirk was sitting under a tent with a massive crowd gathered around him as he spoke to the students. A singular shot was fired at Kirk, striking him in the neck, and he died shortly thereafter, leaving behind two very young children and his wife, Erika.

It has been incredibly sad to see and read about, and I can only imagine how heartbroken Erika, his kids and family are. Yesterday, Erika was seen arriving back home in Phoenix, Arizona with Charlie’s body, alongside Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance, and my prayers go out to her because there aren’t even words for how disgusting and horrific this event was.

Many from both sides of the political aisle have offered their prayers and condolences to Erik and her family, and plenty of country musicians have been speaking out about the political violence that occurred this week, which has absolutely no place in America.

Erika gave an incredibly powerful address to the world last night, just days after the horrific assassination of her husband, and I was blown away at her grace and power in the face of such evil and tragedy that not only affects our country, but her personal life, so deeply. She’s a true believer and a force to be reckoned with, that’s for sure:

And like many other country stars, Morgan also took time to address the horrific tragedy that took Charlie’s life, saying he has been thinking more about his song and the meaning of “I’m A Little Crazy” the last several days, and he added that he wanted to tell Erika that he and his family “are sending prayers her way.”

He told the Edmonton, Canada, crowd:

“I’m not gonna say a whole bunch on this, but this song has been hitting me harder in the last couple days and I just wanted to let Erika Kirk know that me and my family are sending prayers her way.”

“I’m A Little Crazy” was written by Hardy, Smith Ahnquist, Hunter Phelps and Jameson Rodgers and is the closing track on his mega hit album I’m The Problem. The song finds him reflecting on the state of the world and how he keeps a “loaded .44 by the bed” even though he hopes he never has to use it.

The chorus sums it up eloquently and perfectly, and I think is a representation of how many of us already felt, and obviously even more so now:

“I keep a loaded .44 sittin’ by the bed
For the jeepers and the creepers who ain’t right in the head
Hope I never have to use it, but you never know these days
I’m a little crazy, but the world’s insane”

It’s an incredibly sad realization, but it’s true. And even in the aftermath, we’ve seen vile people celebrating the murder, just one more example of how insane this world has really gotten. As Erika so beautifully put it in her address, there is only one hope we have… in Jesus Christ.

I’m not surprised to see Morgan address this at his show, it has been top of mind for all of over the last several days, and this is powerful:

It was easily one of the best songs on the tracklist, and sadly, is a very real commentary on the evil in this world. I already thought this was an incredible song, but it obviously has an even deeper meaning now.

If you haven’t heard it before, or aren’t really a fan of Morgan’s music, this is worth a listen or two. It’s sentiment is timeless in the broken world we live in:
