That was fast.
Gavin Adcock was arrested on May 21st in Wilson County, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville, for reckless driving and an open container charge – but he wasn’t behind bars for long. According to records from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Adcock was arrested at 11:15 PM and released on a $1,000 bond at 4:34 AM.
Gavin has yet to release a statement on his run-in with the law, and no further details were immediately available on what led to the arrest.
His next court appearance is currently scheduled for August 18, 2025 at 9:00 AM. (One thing to note: In Tennessee, it’s legal for a passenger to have an open container in a vehicle – but not the driver).
I’m guessing he probably won’t put out any official statement if he hasn’t yet, but he’s certainly capitalizing on the whole fiasco, this morning releasing T-shirt with his mugshot on them from the night he was arrested:
I’m sure we’ll see plenty of those at his concerts soon…
But it’s not just the shirt he’s putting out with the mugshot, but a new song called “Morning Bail” that was seemingly at least inspired by him getting arrested, which will be out this Friday. The lyrics are pretty straightforward, which find him admitting he has a drinking problem and asking for a picture of his mugshot:
“Hey mister, can I get a copy of the mugshot?
Last thing I remember
I forgot to eat dinner
Then I started sipping liquor
And it all went dark
Ever since her leaving
I’ve been bottom barrel sinking
Man, I gotta quit drinking
On a broken heart
Guess I was hitting it hard
Woke up in a cell
Blew my money at the bar
Now I can’t make morning bail”
I’m sure his fans will buy into it and love the whole “outlaw” thing or whatever you want to call it, and it’s not shocking in the least to see his team take advantage of the whole situation and put out something like this.
A number of country music fans already compare him to Koe Wetzel, but it certainly sounds like “Morning Bail” is his version of “February 28, 2016.”
I really don’t listen to his music ever, but Adcock has a very loyal fanbase and has gained a lot of attention for his rowdy shows and onstage antics as much as the music itself. Gavin is also hitting the road with Morgan Wallen to open for the country music superstar on his I’m The Problem stadium tour, so I’m sure they’ll have a lot to talk about in terms of their experiences behind bars. The post Gavin Adcock Announces New Song “Morning Bail” With The Release Of Mugshot T-Shirts first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
