Every week when I see him, he’s a seven or even an eight out of 10. Every single week. “I wonder if he is the most underrated player in the Premier League and I’ll back that up just briefly. “Last season, nine goals, six assists, he’s already got a goal and two assists. His record in the Premier League, 296 Premier League appearances, 32 goals, 37 assists.” Since making his league debut for Fulham, Iwobi has missed just four Premier League fixtures for the Cottagers. Stelling has hailed the underrated performances of Fulham midfielder Iwobi every weekGetty All four of those came whilst he was away on international duty during last year’s Africa Cup of Nations. He added: “I’ve got a theory about why some of these guys are underrated. When you talk about Palace, there’s no question, Will Hughes is one of the most underrated players. “The reason, I think, that sometimes they go under the radar, and I’m going to go back to Iwobi momentarily, 296 Premier League games, he never causes trouble. “He’s never been sent off. He’s had nine yellow cards in that time. He doesn’t make a fuss. “I wonder if that’s why he doesn’t get the attention, doesn’t get the headlines. Even Will Hughes, in his time in the Premier League, he’s never been sent off, which surprised me.” Hughes also goes unnoticed in the Palace midfield according to the talkSPORT hostGetty Hughes is into his eighth Premier League season across his spells at Watford and Palace.
