The Ivory Coast international replaced Alexandre Lacazette in the 75th minute rescued Arsenal with two sublime free-kicks in the last 10 minutes of their Europa League group game against Vitoria Sc at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal responded when Gabriel Martinelli, meeting Kieran Tierney’s cross to take advantage of indecision from Silva and nod into a vacant goal, scored an equaliser.

Arsenal were losing 2-1 when Pepe came on in the 75th minute and he scored 5 minutes later with a curling attempt from 25 yards.

He repeated the feat in stoppage time as Arsenal avoided their 2d straight defeat and retained their place on the pinnacle of Group F.
