Michelle Randolph Declines To Address Glen Powell Romance Rumors: “I Don’t Think Anything Good Comes From That”

Playing it coy… even though we all know they’re an item.

Landman star Michelle Randolph, who plays Ainsley Norris in the hit Taylor Sheridan series, and Chad Powers star Glen Powell have been at the center of romance rumors for about a month or two now, and they’ve been photographed and seen together at different events as fans continue to speculate about their status.

It all started when Randolph and Powell were spotted swaying on the dance floor at Austin, Texas’ Broke Spoke. The pair was spotted dancing close together at the honky tonk and dance hall, and the 37-year-old Powell even led the 28-year-old Randolph in a two-step (with a couple of spins mixed in). A TikTok user sneakily filmed the two, and it certainly seems like the celebrity couple is a match made in heaven.

According to TMZ, that wasn’t the first time the Landman actress had been seen with Powell. He apparently took her as his date to a Chad Powers series premiere party a few months back. At the time, the outlet also noted that reps from both parties had not responded to them for comments. According to the source, Yahoo! spoke with the two of them, who are seeing where things go and enjoy spending time together:

“They’ve been enjoying themselves whenever they both have downtime. Neither of them is getting carried away — they’re super busy with their careers. But they have a bunch of mutual friends, and there’s a major attraction and tons of potential, for sure.”

They recently vacationed together in Miami and St. Barts, and it sounds like they’ve both met each other’s families, because during a Golden Globes red carpet interview a couple days ago, where Powell was joined by his parents, they were asked if everyone in the family loves Landman, which was of course a very slick way of hinting at the relationship between Randolph and Powell:

“Anybody here a fan of ‘Landman’?”

Glen, a Texas native, laughed, as he responded that they “love” it, especially his parents:

“We love ‘Landman.’ They really love ‘Landman.’ Texas representing.”

His dad, who is adorable by the way, totally got it, and gave us all the real tea… they love one of the characters in particular:

“A few people in particular… maybe one.”

Sounds like Michelle has already won Glen’s dad over:

They were also spotted out together after the Golden Globes:

But even though there is very clearly something going on between them, during interview with InStyle, Randolph played it coy and declined to answer any questions about her status with Powell:

“I don’t think anything good comes from that, because it’s your personal life. I think, for peace of mind, those are really important for me to keep separate. How people perceive you publicly is not who you are…

That I don’t want to share what it is I’ve probably learned. It’s just… I don’t think anything good comes from that, because it’s your personal life. It should be personal and reserved for yourself and those who are close to you. So, ironically, I think I’ve learned that I want to keep it private.”

I mean, fair enough… given both of their levels of fame and the fact that they’re very much in Hollywood, that’s probably smart, and I can’t blame her for wanting to keep it private especially considering how fresh it is.

Randolph did open up, though, about her role as Ainsley on Landman, saying she tries to bring a certain sincerity to her character even though it might appear up on first glance that she is young and naive:

“I worked really hard to try to make sure there was a sincerity about her. I always try to make people feel good, and I try to be kind. And I think that’s something I try to plant into Ainsley in order for people to recognize that she is just a product of her environment. You can’t expect her to be any different than she is.

All she has is the influence from her parents right now, and so we can’t judge her yet. I’m really excited to see where she goes in season 3, because I think that it’s going to satisfy my desire for her to grow up.”

I think most fans would agree that it would be nice to see some growth from her as she enters college in Season 3, but with Taylor Sheridan and how he tends to write female characters… who knows.

Michelle added that she feels very “lucky” to have the job that she does, and she plans to try and make it last.

Here’s a look at Episode 10 and the season finale coming this Sunday:
