End of Match
90+4' Sam Surridge 26' Edward Nketiah
5' Bukayo Saka
F-T Bournemouth 1-2 Arsenal
90+10' Chance! Fraser crosses, Martinez roars off his line to punch to Lewis Cook on the edge of the area, who chests down and half-volleys high!
90+8' Surridge leaves a foot in on Guendouzi and is shown a yellow card late on.
90+7' Dani Ceballos wins a free kick in the defensive half.
90+4' GOAL! Bournemouth 1-2 Arsenal (Surridge, 90+4')
90+3' Guendouzi hits a 25-yard shot that keeps rising, clearing the bar by a foot or so.
90+2' Granit Xhaka is cautioned for delaying the restart. There is still time for Bournemouth to snatch a replay.
90+2' Ainsley Maitland-Niles replaces Joseph Willock.
89' Ceballos plays in Saka but Steve Cook slides in to put an end to the move.
87' Nketiah chases down Willock's throughball but the offside flag goes up to cut short his run.
85' Arsenal win a corner now. Ceballos sends it in, it’s flicked on and then headed clear, all without anyone hurting anyone else.
84' Fraser cannot quite slip the ball through for Gosling in a crowded box. Sokratis and Steve Cook are allowed back on the field.
80' Saka and Gosling go to ground in separate incidents. The latter appeared to have been caught by the elbow of Guendouzi, but it did not look intentional.
76' Simon Francis replaces Jack Simpson.
76' Callum Wilson replaces Harry Wilson.
74' Solanke is tasked with holding up the ball but he is unable to do so. It has been another disappointing outing for the Bournemouth striker.
71' Guendouzi's deep pass is controlled by Nketiah at the back post, but the cross back into the middle is dealt with. Arsenal are starting to take back control of the game.
69' Dani Ceballos replaces Nicolas Pépé.
66' Attempt missed. Jack Simpson header from the centre of the box is close, but misses to the left. Assisted by Ryan Fraser with a cross following a corner.
65' Corner, Bournemouth. Conceded by Rob Holding.
64' Harry Wilson wins a free kick in the attacking half.
62' Mustafi is taken off the field on a stretcher, which is never a good sight. Holding, who has himself had injury issues this season, comes on in his place.
57' Matteo Guendouzi wins a free kick in the attacking half.
55' WEAK PENALTY SHOUT! Fraser swings the free-kick into a dangerous zone. Simpson goes to ground, seemingly under contact from Martinelli, but a VAR check deems that it is not worthy of a closer inspection.
54' Gosling tries to get the ball back off Guendouzi for a quick free-kick but only succeeds in raking his studs down his opponent's hands. The referee is quickly over to calm the situation.
51' Arsenal attack for a while, then Bournemouth win the ball and have a go.
48' Pepe's corner is sent towards the near post and it is a Bournemouth player who gets to it first.
H-T Bournemouth 0-2 Arsenal
45' There’ll be a couple of minutes of stoppage time.
42' Bournemouth are finding plenty of gaps down the Arsenal right. Fraser and Simpson link up, but the latter's cutback is dealt with by Xhaka.
39' Wilson crosses from the right and Gosling meets it, though unfortunately he meets it with his shoulder and the ball loops over the bar.
36' Saka is permanently positioned inside the Bournemouth half, showing just how little defending his side are having to do.
33' Pepe distracts every defender in the neighbourhood and then passes to Bellerin, now alone on the right, who has time to measure his cross but Cook wins the battle to put a head on it.
31' Martinelli speeds past Cook on the Arsenal left, gets to the byline and squares for Nketiah, but Ake flings out a foot to deny the visitors a potential third.
26' Bournemouth 0-2 Arsenal | Eddie Nketiah |
24' Bournemouth are not pressing as a unit and it is making things very easy for the Arsenal.
22' Martinelli hopelessly miscues a 30-yarder, which flies high and wide.
21' Willock does brilliantly to get away from Gosling and then Ake down the right. He gets a shot away but Travers this time makes the save at his front post.
19' Nice work down the left by Arsenal involving Martinelli, Saka and Xhaka, but it ends with a poor, looping cross from Saka, and that’s the end of the attack.
18' Arsenal are looking pretty comfortable at the moment. Bournemouth are far too passive, failing to get in their opponents' faces when out of possession. Arteta's men are still not creating much, mind.
13' Bukayo Saka has now scored three goals for Arsenal in all competitions. His early strike here was his first against an English side, having previously scored against Standard Liege and Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.
5' GOAL! Bournemouth 0-1 Arsenal (Saka, 5')
3' Fraser is given something to chase down over the top but Martinez reads the danger and is quickly off his line to clear.
1' Whistle blows and Arsenal, in their Bruised Banana away kit, get the game started.
