Saka is played through on goal and he cuts back inside onto his left foot before trying to place the ball into the corner, but Leno is equal to it to make a smart stop.

Odegaard sweeps a delicious ball out to Jesus on the right, who drives towards the box and finds Saka.

Saka tries a quick one-two with Odegaard inside the area and it almost pays off, but Fulham do well in the end to clear.

Xhaka is the next Arsenal player to try to unlock the Fulham defence. He whips a cross from the left across the face of goal looking for Jesus, but former Gunners goalkeeper Leno does well to anticipate and collect the ball.

Good pressure from Arsenal sees the ball fall fortuitously into the path of Martinelli, but the young Brazilian can't quite get there and it eventually goes behind for a corner.

Odegaard finds Jesus at the back post and the Brazilian brings the ball down beautifully before finding Xhaka, who takes a bit of a wild swing at it and puts it well wide.

Nearly a clever one from Fulham, drilled low towards the near post and Palhinha gets there, but fires an effort high and wide.

First sign of the visitors in attack and they looked confident.

Ream clatters into the back of Jesus and is perhaps fortunate not to receive the first yellow card of the match.

Odegaard pounces on some dodgy defending from the visitors just outside the box, but he can't quite feed Jesus and the ball runs through to Leno.

Arsenal make a quick start with Xhaka winning an early corner.

Martinelli plays it short to Jesus but Fulham eventually clear the danger.
